As a continuity to the vocal work developed by various authors in past decades in his country, Gilberto Rebolledo has actively participated in what may be called the new school of choral arrangers. Founder of several choirs in the city of Caracas, (Coral Alvaro Fernaud, Choir of the Training Center of the CANTV, Coral Ministry of the Secretariat of the Presidency, etc.) and director of many others in schools and lyceums of the Ministry of Education and in other public and private institutions, it is with the "Student's Choir of the Central University of Venezuela", which proposes new alternatives for interpretation, spreading an unpublished choral repertoire and incorporating elements from various artistic disciplines such as Poetry, Theater and Dance.
Invited on numerous occasions to participate in the writing of basic, middle and university official education programs, he was a member of the Drafting Commission of the Curriculum Project of the Bachelor of Music in the Art Department of the Faculty of Arts of the Universidad de Los Andes where he worked until 1995 as coordinator of the Music Unit, developing, at the same time, an important work as a professor in a private way, and as an author of music for cinema, theater and in his chairs of Theory, Harmony and Counterpoint in the Mérida Nucleus of the National Youth Orchestra of Venezuela. Likewise, at the request of various training institutions of artistic specialties, he collaborated in the Curricular Design of the School of Music of the State of Mérida. His pedagogical trajectory and his activity within the musical environment has been recognized on several occasions in Venezuela and Europe as well as his work for the benefit of the Latin American Popular Culture.
With the Female Vocal Quartet "Malembe" he made international tours, spreading the traditional music of Venezuela and Latin America, as well as diverse works of young popular composers, in a unique vocal style of its kind. Gilberto Rebolledo has participated as a jury in different musical events, including choral and instrumental music festivals in different countries; received commissions of composition of diverse musical institutions as well as recognitions and tributes of choral groups of national and private universities. He attended several chairs in the School of Music of the Faculty of Architecture and Art of the University of Los Andes and participated in several projects related to music, poetry, theater, etc. in Caracas and in the city of Mérida where he currently resides and continues to perform advising, musical direction and other activities
